i have a lot of ebooks in my pc , an i want read them …dad hates me sitting in pc allday and also he doesnt like mobiles…..can anyone suggest me any of ebook readers which is nota pc and a mobile

The best two cool portable ebook readers are the Kindle and the Sony Reader. The Kindle aren’t available outside the United States, however, as you can see in the question "Is Kindle available to customers outside the United States?" here:

I believe most of the non-phone readers are much more expensive then the phone ones.

The Aldiko freeware allows you to download, view, bookmark, change format ebooks that you can view on a handheld. In this case, I’m using the Android HTC Hero.

You can’t annotate, which most other ebook programs support. However, you can move through the book very quickly, and the search function works fast. For me, it’s easier to read than on the Kindle, and certainly more convenient, but you can’t buy books from Amazon.com. The iPhone has Kindle software, but I don’t know if this will ever come to the Android platform.

Another downside to reading books on your phone is that once the batteries run down, you can’t make any calls unless you have quick access to an electric outlet. Unlike the iPhone, the Hero has a removeable battery, so you could carry a spare.
