There are different colors and personalities for each Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster. Do you think which one is the best for girl and which one is the best for boy and why?

There is the pink and white one and the grey one are for girls, and the yellow and tan one is for boys.

I was wondering if i can go to the pet store and pick up a cage for the zhu zhu pet or will they only work in the zhu zhu pet cages.
Will it work on a wheel of a normal hamster cage?

It’s a battery operated hamster…I think you can pretty much put it wherever you want, except maybe the swimming pool or any other body of water.

So can the Zhu Zhu hamster use a regular hamster ball or do they have to have the Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster ball?

I tried it and the Zhu Zhu pet cannot get traction. The center of the hamster ball is too smooth and there are other minor differences. Hamster balls will not work with a Zhu Zhu pet.

I was thinking about purchasing a zhu zhu pet for daughter for christmas but i heard they are dangerous…. where can i find more info about them without going to the offical site?

It was rumored that zhu zhu pets had lead and other toxic metals in them. They have not been recalled yet and as far as I know they are still under investigation.

I have seen the zhu zhu starter kit with Patches the hamster on ebay, but I have never seen it on any regular retailers website (toys r us, walmart, target, etc.)
Does anyone know where or when the starter sets were sold? Are they still available? Or has production been halted on this set?

yes they are still manufactured by Cepia, it just depends on which retailer purchased them to resell. i have only found 1 store here in Michigan that sells the starter sets, all sold out of course…..
