This is a great toy and my little ones love them, I am angry that all these vendors are selling them for so much, be patient and go to Toys r us or Walmart, they are priced at $8.00. Because they are not in stock every where these greedy people are taking of advantage of Parents looking for the perfect gift!
This Mr. Squiggles is my niece’s favourite!!

For the same reason that pets are appealing to young kids perhaps? Maybe parents love them because they don’t make a mess. If you’re having trouble finding them at retail prices, try Qskipper.

Today the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said it had opened an investigation into Zhu Zhu Pets after an independent consumer watchdog group, GoodGuide, announced low ratings after finding antimony, which can cause health problems, on the hair and nose of one of the toy hamsters, called Mr. Squiggles.
You better wait buying this toy for your kid…

They are a great alternative for those that do not wish to have the hassle of taking care of a living hamster. When they bump into walls, the sensors on their nose makes them head in a different direction, they make cute sounds, and they are furry just like a real hamster. Best of all there is no mess to pick up,no rodent mouth to feed, and when you tire of them, you simply turn them off.

I think the appeal of the Zhu Zhu is much like that of the Tamagachi of years past- it gives children a sense of control and responsibility; there is also the collectible factor; they are small and don’t require a lot of space………and they are just plain cute.

They are popular well because they replace (alot) Hamsters,geribles,and all those kinds of animals the zhu zhu pets are robotic hamsters that don’t poop,stink,die,But also you don’t have to feed them they have play sets such as the adventure ball,sleepdome,bed and carriers,cars,tunnels like the fun house,Kids will love these little guys so far these are the zhu zhu hamsters that are out Mr.Squiggles,Num Nums,PipSqueak,Chunk,Jilly,Scoodles,Nugget and Winkie all very cute. I think the popularity comes from the fact that hamsters are very popular pets amongst kids right now, specially with their presence in recent movies such as Bolt, G Force, Bedtime Stories.
